I-405 Design Build

In 2013, Guy F. Atkinson Construction won the highest value add design build contract for the rehabilitation of sections of I-405 NB and SR 518. Guy F. Atkinson Construction teamed with Salinas Construction, Inc. to install 5375 CY of new highway concrete pavement along the I-405 NB lanes across only 2 extended weekend closures. Salinas was also tasked with demoing and replacing 130+ concrete panels along both SR 518 and I-405 on both night and weekend closures. Never in the Greater Seattle Area has such large quantities of new full depth roadway been placed in such a tight time frame by concrete contractors until Salinas Construction Inc. was tasked with it.
